The club is composed of members from East Hampton, Springs, Amagansett, Sag Harbor, Montauk, and Wainscott.  And it's well-recognized in the local community for its involvement in Little League and Senior League Baseball, Toys for Tots, scholarships, senior citizen programs, support for local youth programs, and a myriad of fund raising and support activities. Because of its established reputation for always lending a helping hand, the Kiwanis club is often the first organization on the east End to be contacted when there is a community need.  We are proud of our community, and are extremely proud of the support we provide to those who live, work and raise their families here.

The Club was founded in 1962 as a civic and social organization. Their main purpose was to organize and raise funds for a St. Patrick's Day Parade that would bring the dreary winter to an end, and welcome spring with a joyous and festive Irish celebration.  The Original 12 members would be very happy to see how their idea has prospered over the 40 plus years. It has been estimated that 40,000 spectators and supporters attend this annual event. The Parade is still our main goal, and the Friends have expanded their fundraising to meet the ever-escalating cost of putting on such an exciting event.  We have also broadened our purpose to include scholarships for our outstanding students along with sponsoring little league activities and many other community programs.
